Airheads
In 2022, the US was dealing with the highest inflation in 40 years, so Airheads – a candy company who happens to know a thing or two about inflation (just look at their logo) – decided to alleviate some of that burden with a shop that only accepts play money in exchange for real stuff.
Shoppers could not only buy delicious candy using play money but also Airheads merch, Apple AirPods, a DJI drone, roller skates, pogo stick, a ten foot balloon giraffe, JBL speakers, a brand new Jeep and more!
Safe to say, we made money fun.
*Not so fun fact:
The day the shop opened its doors, the US stock market saw it’s biggest crash in 2 years but Airheads had nothing to do with that.
